Shore Medical Center Names Liz DeMarco, PharmD, BCPS, Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator, its December Employee of the Month

Shore Medical Center recently named Liz DeMarco, PharmD, BCPS, Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator, of Linwood, NJ, its December Employee of the Month for her exceptional leadership, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to patient safety and team support.

DeMarco began her Shore Medical Center career in 2020 as a Pharmacy Resident, quickly distinguishing herself through her clinical expertise and versatility. From 2021 to 2022, she served as an Antimicrobial Stewardship Pharmacist, followed by her role as Critical Care Pharmacist from 2022 to 2024. In 2024, DeMarco was promoted to her present role as Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator. In her role, she oversees inpatient clinical pharmacy processes, coordination of medication safety and antimicrobial stewardship initiatives, contributes to pharmacy policy development, plans for drug shortages, precepts pharmacy students and residents, and assists with pharmacy leadership responsibilities.

In the fall of 2025, DeMarco assumed additional responsibilities as Interim Director of Pharmacy while the acting director is on leave. In this expanded role, she has demonstrated outstanding accountability, professionalism, and leadership, seamlessly taking on added responsibilities to ensure daily pharmacy operations continue to run smoothly and efficiently.

Outside of work, Liz enjoys reading, spending time at the beach, trying new restaurants, and visiting Cape May.
