Shore Medical Center's respiratory care practitioners evaluate, treat, and care for patients of all ages with breathing disorders. All respiratory care practitioners (RCP) are registered respiratory therapists (RRT) and specialize in the assessment and treatment of respiratory and cardiovascular pathologies.
These include chronic lung problems such as asthma, bronchitis, emphysema, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), as well as more multi-systemic problems stemming from other conditions such as heart attacks, stroke, trauma or complications at birth. Your physician may order specific outpatient tests to help diagnose, treat or monitor your condition.
