Shore Medical Center has named Maria Sanchez of Egg Harbor Township, NJ, its April 2026 Guardian Angel of the Month for providing compassionate and exceptional patient care. Shore established the Guardian Angel program to give patients and families a meaningful way to say “thank you” to a special caregiver through a donation made in their honor.
A Stress Tech/EKG Tech in the Non-Invasive Cardiac Lab within the Diagnostic Imaging Department, Sanchez has been part of the Shore Medical Center team for more than 38 years. Throughout her tenure, she has built a reputation as a dedicated and dependable team member who consistently puts her patients first.

Sanchez is known among her colleagues as someone they can always count on. She is hardworking, loyal, and never hesitates to step in when help is needed. Whether taking on additional responsibilities or supporting a teammate, she approaches every task with a positive attitude and a strong sense of commitment.
Her compassion and empathy are evident in every interaction. Sanchez goes out of her way to create a supportive environment for both patients and colleagues. The respect she has earned from physicians and technologists alike contributes to a positive and collaborative atmosphere within her department.

Outside of work, Sanchez enjoys spending time with her large extended family and is active in her church.
