Shore Medical Center recently named Brenda Resto, human resources recruiter, its June Employee of the Month for consistently delivering outstanding service and embodying the organization's mission, vision, and values.
Resto began her career at Shore Medical Center in 2004 as a secretary for the radiologic technology school before moving into Human Resources as an assistant in 2007. In July 2021, she was promoted to HR recruiter, where she plays a key role in supporting hospital-wide staffing needs, recruiting and screening candidates, managing job postings, advising hiring managers, and guiding the hiring process from start to finish.
Bill DeJesus, Administrative Director of Recruiting, Compensation, Benefits & Employee Health, praised Resto’s dedication and impact on Shore’s team culture.
“Brenda has filled critical roles, especially in nursing, faster than expected, bringing in candidates who truly align with Shore’s values and goals,” DeJesus said. “From the first interaction to onboarding, she ensures every candidate feels informed and valued. That level of care strengthens our organizational culture. She works closely with managers to understand their needs and keeps them engaged throughout the process. Whether she’s streamlining systems or sourcing talent in a tough market, Brenda continually improves outcomes.”
Outside of work, Resto is a devoted wife and mother, an avid baker, and a dedicated member of her church community, where she leads the Vacation Bible School program. She also served as an advisor for many years to Shore’s Medical Explorers program for high school students interested in a healthcare career.
