A Cause to Celebrate Gala

For more than a decade, Shore Medical Center’s signature fundraising event, the “A Cause to Celebrate” Gala, has brought our community together in support of exceptional healthcare close to home. Over the past 11 years, the gala has raised more than $5 million for patient care at Shore Medical Center, helping to ensure that our nonprofit community hospital continues to provide the highest level of care to the communities we serve.

The 2026 A Cause to Celebrate Gala will take place on Friday, November 6, 2026, at the Golden Nugget Hotel Casino in Atlantic City, where guests will enjoy the glitz and glamour of this year’s theme, “An Evening in Paris.” The event will celebrate the many areas of care provided at Shore, which for more than 85 years has remained committed to improving the health and well-being of our community.

We are also proud to once again welcome Penn Medicine as our Presenting Sponsor. The partnership between Shore Medical Center and Penn Medicine highlights the advanced care available right here in Somers Point across specialties including cardiology, pulmonology, maternal fetal medicine, neuroscience, surgery, and cancer care.

This year’s gala will  honor Shore Medical Center Board Chair David Beyel in recognition of his extraordinary dedication and leadership during more than three decades of service to the organization. Since joining the Shore Medical Center Board in 1992, Dave has played a pivotal role in guiding the hospital through an evolving healthcare landscape while helping to oversee significant expansions to the campus, advancements in technology, and the continued growth of Shore Physicians Group throughout the region.

Dave’s leadership has always been grounded in Shore’s core mission — ensuring that our community continues to have access to high-quality healthcare close to home. His passion for the organization, his thoughtful leadership, and his unwavering commitment to Shore’s mission have earned him the admiration of fellow board members, colleagues, and the community alike.
