For consistently delivering outstanding service and embodying Shore Medical Center’s Mission, Vision and Values, Shore is proud to announce that Physical Therapist’s Assistant Krissy Halkes, PTA, of Egg Harbor Township has been named the medical center’s June 2023 Employee of the Month.
Halkes has been caring for patients at Shore Medical Center since 1997. As an acute care inpatient physical therapist’s assistant, she helps patients regain strength, range of motion and mobility during their hospital stay.
Jennifer Pesce, PT, DPT, Director of Rehabilitation at Shore Medical Center, says Halkes is one of the most dedicated caregivers and a phenomenal team player.
“Krissy is as committed and engaged today as when she first arrived 26 years ago. She gains her patients’ trust and motivates them with positive insights daily. Her commitment to her patients equals her commitment to her colleagues. She is a leader in orienting volunteers, aides and new staff members, and is a therapist everyone would be lucky to have on their team,” Pesce said.
Outside of work, Halkes enjoys yoga, spending time with her kids and grandkids, and her dog, Remy.
