Shore Medical Center Names Emergency Department Clinical Supervisor Erica Sickler, RN, BSN, of Northfield its June Guardian Angel

Shore Medical Center announced today that Emergency Department Clinical Supervisor Erica Sickler, RN, BSN, of Northfield, has been named its June Guardian Angel of the Month for providing passionate and exceptional care to its patients. Shore established the Guardian Angel program to enable community members to say 'thank you' to a special Shore caregiver through a donation to the medical center in their honor.

Sickler began her Shore Medical Center career in 2018 as an ER nurse, and was later promoted to Clinical Supervisor in the Emergency Department. In this role, she is responsible for the overall operation of the department while also providing patient care.

Sherri Richmond, MSN, RN, Director of Emergency Services, says Sickler always has the best interest of the patient in mind when leading the Emergency Department team. She says she is also clinically competent and consistently strives to improve her skillset.

A patient who made a Guardian Angel donation to Shore Medical Center in Sickler’s honor had this to say about her:

“I was recently a patient in the Emergency Department and needed an IV. I have rolling veins and historically a very difficult stick.  Many thanks to Erica for being patient and for your kind and caring demeanor, you saved the day!”

Shore Medical Center’s Guardian Angel program provides an opportunity for patients and families to recognize anyone at Shore who makes a difference in their care or experience. Guardian Angels are recognized among their peers and presented with a Guardian Angel pin at Shore’s annual pinning ceremony.
