Shore Medical Center announced today that Amera Wilson, Guest Services Representative with Unidine, Shore’s dining services provider, has been named its November Guardian Angel of the Month for providing passionate and exceptional patient care. Shore established the Guardian Angel program to enable community members to say “thank you” to a special Shore caregiver through a donation to the medical center in their honor.
Wilson, of Atlantic City, has been with Shore Medical Center since February 2023 and has spent nearly three years in Shore’s dining services department.
“Amera is conscientious in her work with both patients and co-workers,” said Tim Haring, Wilson’s manager. “She consistently strives to deliver memorable patient experiences—whether through bedside meal ordering service or while delivering and collecting nutrition trays. She’s thoughtful, professional, and a wonderful member of our team.”
A patient recently made a Guardian Angel donation in Wilson’s honor and shared:
"My wife was in and out of the hospital this past year, so we both had the pleasure of getting to know Amera. It’s clear that Amera puts genuine effort into her work – not just taking a meal order, but in the way she connected with my wife. Her visits would bring joy to my wife’s day and that meant so much to us. Thank you for making a difference in her hospital stay!”
Shore Medical Center's Guardian Angel program provides an opportunity for patients and families to recognize anyone at Shore who makes a difference in their care or experience. Guardian Angels are recognized among their peers and presented with a Guardian Angel pin at Shore's annual pinning ceremony.
