Shore Medical Center Names ER Technician Dom DeGrazia its 2016 Employee of the Year

Shore Medical Center Emergency Department (ED) technician Dom DeGrazia, recognized for his professionalism, passion and commitment to providing superior care, was named Shore Medical Center’s 2016 Employee of the Year during a ceremony on March 2, 2017.

DeGrazia, who was selected from a pool of 12 Employee of the Month candidates, was Shore’s Employee of the Month for November 2016. He was honored during the medical center’s annual Employee of the Year ceremony in DiOrio Hall, surrounded by his coworkers.

DeGrazia has been a member of the Emergency Department team at Shore Medical Center for the majority of his 20-year career. During his tenure, DeGrazia has distinguished himself as a caregiver who will do anything and everything for patients, family members and coworkers.  He has gained the respect and support of all with whom he works through the patient-centered care he provides and the team first attitude he displays during every shift.

"Dom is very kind compassionate and pleasant to our patients," says Nurse Manager Annmarie Guerrieri. "He is very helpful to his co-workers, is the first to offer assistance and is a role model for the department."

DeGrazia is honored to be selected as Employee of the Year.

“It’s an incredible feeling to be recognized by others, especially in this way,” DeGrazia says. “Working at Shore feels like I’m working with family.”

A resident of Somers Point, DeGrazia has many interests outside of work, including writing and playing music, fishing, and reading about space and nature.
