Shore Medical Center, in partnership with The Hub, presents the
2016 Fall Farmers Market and Craft Fair
Keeping with its 75-year tradition of serving the community, Shore Medical Center is proud to announce that it has partnered with The Hub, a local community events company, to bring the 2016 Fall Farmers Market and Craft Fair to Somers Point, NJ. This farmers market and craft fair will be held on Saturday, October 15 from 9 to 3 pm in front of the hospital on Bay Avenue between Medical Center Way and New York Avenue. A portion of the proceeds from the farmers market and craft fair will be donated to Shore’s Cancer Center.
"As our community's hospital, the health and wellness of our friends and neighbors is a top priority for us at Shore Medical Center," said David Hughes, Chief Financial Officer of Shore Medical Center and Somers Point resident. "Our vision for this farmers market and craft fair is to bring the community together, and give them the opportunity to purchase the freshest seasonal fruits and vegetables and fine crafts practically right in their own backyard. We have partnered with the The Hub because of their proven track record of success in these types of ventures. We anticipate that our fair on October 15 will be very well received, and hopefully it will be the first of many more to come."
“We are excited to partner with Shore Medical Center in bringing a farmers market and craft fair to the Somers Point community," said Dina Guzzardo, director of public relations for The Hub. "This market will provide an opportunity for local vendors to offer a vast selection of diverse items as well as the benefit to the neighborhood to come together and purchase fresh fruits and vegetables as well as handmade treasures and other quality items. Our pleasure and priority is always to provide a benefit to the local community. We are confident that the market will be a success and with additional ongoing dates will quickly become a neighborhood gem. In keeping with our culture and belief in the importance of giving back, we are proud to announce that a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Shore Medical Center's Cancer Center."
