Shore Medical Center's Chief Financial Officer and Atlantic County community leader David Hughes was named to the Richard Stockton Foundation Board of Directors. Mr. Hughes, who graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Stockton in 1986, also serves and has served as a member on a number of business, government, non-profit and community-related Boards in addition to his role at Shore.
"Stockton is one of the cornerstones of the Atlantic County community, and I am proud to give back to Stockton and support the foundation Board's efforts to raise money for student scholarships, academic programs, technology upgrades and research projects," said David Hughes. "It is so important for us to provide financial assistance to students and to support the University's continued growth so that we can help retain the bright young talent in our communities.
David Hughes is currently a Board member for iPayment, Inc, American Media, Inc. (AMI), Shore Quality Partners and is a member of the Audit Committee for Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh. He is also a Board member, Co Chairman and Finance Committee Member of St. Joseph's Regional School in Somers Point, and a Board member for the "Brayces" Smile for a Lifetime Foundation of Atlantic and Cape May counties. Mr. Hughes is the host of the weekly "Views from the Shore" segment on SNJTV, and he is a proud resident of Somers Point and a native of South Jersey.
Hughes was a former Chief Financial Officer, Board member and Chairman of the Finance Committee of Trump Entertainment Resorts. He formerly served on the Boards for the Greater Atlantic City Chamber of Commerce, Somers Point Economic Development Committee, and the Somers Point Business Association.
