Margate Teen Continues Tradition of Spreading Holiday Cheer to Children at Shore Memorial Hospital

November 23, 2010

For the past six years, Margate resident Alexandra Shuster has made Shore Memorial Hospital’s young patients a part of her holiday tradition. And 2010 was no exception.

Shuster visited Shore Memorial on Monday, November 22 to drop off a large donation of toys and clothing to the hospital’s Pediatric Care Center.

Each year Shuster, now 18, spends months visiting local businesses to collect toy and clothing donations, which she then brings to Shore Memorial for children who have to spend the holidays in the hospital. She began the tradition when she was 12 years old as part of her Bat Mitzvah and has continued it ever since.
